International Lesbian Day
October 8th is International Lesbian Day which means it's the perfect occasion to celebrate sapphics of all colors, creeds, shapes, and sizes! This is a day to not only celebrate what lesbian women mean to our culture but to also highlight the struggles and challenges they face. There are many ways to celebrate this day:
- Be loud and proud!
- Reach out to the Lesbians in your life and let them know what they mean to you
- Promote and celebrate lesbian artists, writers, and creators
- Amplify lesbian activist voices
- Watch your favorite gay media
- Learn about important lesbians in our history and honor the changes they’ve made
- Support lesbian owned businesses
